On November 15, 2022, a solemn event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the XVI session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Day of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin in his opening speech congratulated on these two historical and significant dates and noted: “It is a source of honour for us that the Day of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan coincides with the anniversary of the historic XVI session of the Supreme Council of Tajikistan and after the establishment of national peace and unity in our country, at the initiative of the Head of State, the process of economic recovery of the country, the development of democracy, pluralism, tolerance, and the formation of national thinking has begun.
“History has proven that on that fateful day, members of parliament, by their far-sighted decision, chose an outstanding personality, the true Leader of the Nation,” – noted the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Also during the event, a photo exhibition and a documentary film from the XVI session of the Supreme Council were presented.
