On 28 June 2021, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Arab Republic of Egypt Zarobiddin Kosimi met with Governor of Alexandria Mohammed Al-Sharif.
The meeting discussed a wide range of issues of cooperation between the two countries, especially with the region and the city of Alexandria. In particular, the proposal was made on the establishment of sistership between one of the cities of Tajikistan and Alexandria.
